    @forbidden0617 This guy makes some good videos, but for sure this is the wrong way to aim a cut shot, if you aim this way, you will miss many cut shots that you hit perfectly, just because you aimed wrong.

    pool=geometry. all that bull shit your teacher was telling you in high school about squares and shit…this is where you apply it.i bet your old geometry teacher would kick major ass in pool if they dont already.lol the first rule of thumb is to know your playing field. i dont mean look at the color i mean really look at it, as if you are the ball and your mission is to get in the pocket. dont over think the shots. your brain knows what to do…trust it.

    @Cojoness thanks :)

  6. Cojoness on July 2, 2011 at 8:14 pm

    @Strummify the contact betwen the balls shoud be on the point aimed , so you dont really aim in that point , you aim nearby so the white ball hit the other ball in that point

  7. Strummify on July 2, 2011 at 8:22 pm

    if you aim at that point exactly wont the side of the cue ball hit first? so do we aim one ball’s space away from that point? Sorry im just a beginner

    no, you wasted a minute watching something that’s wrong. but if you didnt know better it would have caused you to waste hours at the pool table. i think its very hard to figure this out on your own though..unless you have great access to a pool table near you and lots of time

  17. Alza14 on July 3, 2011 at 1:24 am

    Spot on! (pardon the pun) The ‘ghost’ ball is a much more efficient way of reading ‘cut’.

    More to the point though. Have I really just wasted a mintue and a half being advised on something a 2 year old could work out?

  18. 32103940 on July 3, 2011 at 1:51 am

    mtb2004 right right. by aiming at a point on the object ball, your cue ball will NOT make contact at that point, since your cue ball has its own radius.

    the suggestion offered in this video is only logical for theoretical pool in which all balls are dimensionless particles.

    the correct method would be ghost ball technique.

  19. mtb2004uk on July 3, 2011 at 2:22 am

    The problem is that by “shooting at the number”, you are basically telling the person to aim at an incorrect point. Anyone who can’t shoot all the shots you just did within 5 mins (hopefully they will have the advantage of not using your ‘instruction’) of picking up a pool cue for the first time in their life should probably give the game up there and then…

    i think u need to shut up .. hes good .. i bet hes damn better dan u .. stupid hater

    you suck. I just wanted to tell you that. Every pro says one of the hardest shots is a straight in shot. because you have to hit the center of the cue ball and hit the other ball square and obviously when the object ball is a foot away from the pocket and you not all the way across the table a straight in shot is easy, but you have such a lack of knowledge of pool that you should really take these “instructional videos” right off youtube.
