Legend has it that the Great Vignaux, in contrast to the stunned audience watched the American player to continue uninterruptedly with his shots, conversely observed carefully the technique of his opponent’s game, so that during the night without interruption he trained with his coach and next day, the resumption of the match, managed to achieve a record 1451 points in one shot, leaving the U.S. froze in his chair and triumphantly won the match.

………..the American George F. Slosson (So here is where does the term “American series”) which, during the early stages of the match, after ups and downs, managed to capture the basic position of the series getting a significant number of points and taking far ahead of his opponent . -cont-

The technique called “Americana Series” was invented in Canada in late 1800 by brothers Joseph and Cyrille Dion and was officially launched in Europe the first time in April 1880 in Paris during the epic match of free French Carom held for the World supremacy between the French Champion Maurice Vignaux and…………………….-cont-

Doet me denken aan me eigen biljartclub.

It’s look very easy but when i try to do the same way it’s very difficult to control the power of your hand …. omg =)) it’s so hard ! Thank for sharing !

The masters make difficult things look easy. Congratulations, I enjoyed this very much.

This is the best *De Serie Americanie* I’ve seen so far. It looks easy but It’s realy hard and take lots of time to practice. I did try to play this style before and could not control the balls. I would like to learn this technique and improve my skill. (Is there anything that can help me to learn this style?)…and thanks to Mr. Van Hooff.

    Superfilmpje!
    Prachtige serie.
    Een natte droom voor iedere
    amateur-biljartliefhebber
    om dit te kunnen.

So beautiful, you can see why they made balkline restrictions. Wonderful upload. Very few videos show thorough rail nurses. I don’t know what serie americaine means. Is that French or Flemish? I’m guessing rail nurse playing straight rail, but who knows?

  18. CarnalDiafragma on October 31, 2011 at 2:19 am

  20. xantiafan on October 31, 2011 at 3:32 am

Hello Stephan, You may recall I responded to this video of Mr van Hooff saying I may be in the Netherlands in September. As planned I will be in Amsterdam next week and would love to meet you and Mr van Hooff at de Stetweg 41/1, 1901 JD, Castricum. Is there a usual time that you play. I would love to learn a little more about De Serie Americaine.

  24. breackonthrough on October 31, 2011 at 6:07 am

I am stunnished lol! first time in my whole life that i watch the american series properly executed and with that score, maybe a 100 points or more was that run that looks so easy but is one of the most dificult things to do on earth hehe, what an amazing material, congratilations both, to Mr. van Hooff for the exquisit playing and for you stephancastricum to share with all of us, the nearest thing to this was a petter debaker 150 balckline run on a video, this was superb, moi bal mijn vriend!
